studioAJH x stage design

Amelia Jane Hankin is a stage designer and leads studioAJH; a creative practice that spans stage design, speculative design, and education.

Amelia is an Associate Artist of Shakespeare’s Globe, an Associate Lecturer at the Royal College of Art, and a member of Brixton House’s Artistic Advisory Collective.

Amelia trained in architecture before specialising in stage design at RADA then the RSC as Resident Associate Designer. As a stage designer Amelia has collaborated with a broad range of companies, producers and artists across the UK and internationally including The Royal Exchange, Shakespeare’s Globe, Bush Theatre, Graeae, RSC, Kiln Theatre, Bryony Kimmings, Chichester Festival Theatre, Young Vic, Almeida Theatre, Perth International Festival, Wuzhen Theatre Festival, Zhejiang, Paines Plough and Tiata Fahodzi. Amelia’s work has been exhibited at the V&A Museum’s ‘Make/Believe’.
